Our Return Policy

At Macondo, we are committed to our customers 100% satisfaction.

We sell products with quality materials and processes. However, occasionally we know that you may want to return the items because they are not right for you.

Macondo offers complimentary return shipping on all orders within the United States for items eligible for return in accordance with this Return Policy.  Subject to certain conditions and exceptions explained below in this Return Policy, and unless otherwise expressly indicated on a Product’s detail page at the time of purchase, we are pleased to accept timely returns of certain new and unused Products, as follows:

  • Full Price:  Products purchased at full price are eligible for return for a full refund within 15 days from the date that the Product was delivered to you.

  • Promotions:  Products that are purchased with a Promotion are eligible for return for a full refund within 7 days from the date that the Product was delivered to you
  • Markdowns:  Products purchased at a discount (other than with a Promotion) or on markdown are eligible for return for site credit within 7 days from the date that the Product was delivered to you
  • Final Sale:  Products purchased on final sale (as further described below) are not eligible for return or a refund

Your Products must be returned in the original packaging, including any boxes, hangers, garment bags, and other signature packaging materials, including Macondo and designer hanging tags. Other designer packaging such as belts, dust bags, authenticity cards, and leather tags should all be included where provided. If your order did not include the proper packaging please email maria@macondo.store.

Any returned Products which are damaged, do not include the packaging materials, soiled, or altered may not be accepted and refunds or credits will not be issued for such returns.  Refunds or credits will not be processed until the items are returned and inspected by Macondo.  Refunds are generally processed within 1-2 weeks of when the returned item is received at our warehouse.

For international orders, the costs of shipping and any import taxes and duties paid are non-refundable. 

Macondo monitors the number and condition of Products returned and orders cancelled by customers. Repeated returns or cancellations or violations of our terms and conditions will be flagged and may, at our discretion, lead to the closure of your Macondo account or future orders being refused.

Faulty Products

Products that are received damaged or become damaged by a manufacturing fault within six (6) months of purchase are considered faulty. Items that become damaged as a result of normal wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. Macondo will determine, in its sole judgment and discretion, whether the damage is as a result of normal wear and tear or some other reason.

Damaged or faulty Products will be replaced or repaired, where possible and subject to availability. Where possible we will offer to repair the faulty item. If a Product cannot be replaced or repaired, you are entitled to a full refund within the six (6) month period.

Product Colors

We have made every effort possible to ensure the colors are displayed as accurately as possible. Macondo cannot guarantee your computer’s monitor will accurately display the true color. If you have any questions about the color of an item please contact maria@macondo.store prior to placing your order.

Final Sale—Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund

All Products that are (i) considered Final Sale as listed below, or (ii) otherwise indicated as “final sale”, are not eligible to be returned, exchanged, or refunded, except in certain circumstances in jurisdictions where we may be required to accept returns, exchanges, or refunds by law, such as for customers in the UK and the European Union.

  • Fine Jewelry
  • Customized items
  • Vintage items
  • Hosiery / Lingerie
  • Fur coats, vests, gillets, and stoles
  • Exotic leather
  • Special Order Items
  • Items subject to a markdown (which does not include reductions in price solely because of a Promotion)
  • Items indicated as “final sale”

If you return or send to Macondo any Product that is not eligible for return or refund in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (including, but not limited to items considered Final Sale), any Product that is not listed on the return authorization from Macondo in respect of the respective shipment from you to us, and/or any product that you did not purchase from Macondo, we may, without notice to you, retain and dispose of such Product(s) and/or product(s) at our discretion, and refunds or credits will not be issued for such Product(s) and/or product(s).

Macondo Returns

To initiate a return, send us an email maria@macondo.store, with all the information and we will send you a confirmation email with all the details you need to complete the return. 

Item(s) must be shipped to us within 5 business days from receiving your Return Label.

Our free return shipping does not apply to items outside the country to where they were originally shipped.  

Refunds

Once we process your return, we have 10 business days to refund you for the amount you paid for the item(s).
You can choose to receive your refund either as a store credit in a Gift Card or back to the original payment method.

Shipping costs to and from you are not included in the refund, this will be deducted.

Import taxes and duties paid are non-refundable.

If your return request is not eligible for return or refund in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (including, but not limited to items considered Final Sale), we will notify you of our decision via email.

You will have the option to have the item(s) sent back to you at your expense, we will send you an invoice for the shipping costs and send the item(s) to you after you have paid for the return shipping costs.

Late Returns

Your item(s) should be sent back to us within 15 days of receiving your order. Returns outside this timeframe may be accepted at the discretion of Macondo and will only be refunded as a store credit.

Exchanges: Need a Different Size?

If you wish to try another size or simply return it for a store credit refund and purchase a new item, please email us as soon as possible at maria@macondo.store with your order number and the product you like to exchange.

We will help you with the return process as quickly as we possibly can, so you can order the new product.

Shipping costs to and from you are not included in the refund, this will be deducted.

Import taxes and duties paid are non-refundable.
